The Texas Rangers are currently in first place in the American League West, up a half game on the Seattle Mariners. Texas is a game back of the Boston Red Sox, who are in Wild Card 3, 2.5 games back of Wild Card 2 (which is either the White Sox or the Guardians, who are also tied for first place in the American League Central), and 5.5 games back of the New York Yankees, who have the Wild Card 1 spot.
