A 47-year-old Inland Empire resident is facing drug and obstruction charges after being pulled over in Rancho Cucamonga overnight.
Deputies were patrolling the area of 6th Street and Hellman Avenue when they conducted a proactive traffic stop on a gray BMW for vehicle code violations at about 11:51 p.m., according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The department did not specify which vehicle code violations prompted the stop, but deputies identified 47-year-old Jamie Lee Lauder of Rancho Cucamonga as the vehicle’s sole occupant.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, Lauder was detained after deputies saw an exposed methamphetamine pipe.

A search of the BMW allegedly uncovered suspected methamphetamine, a scale, cash and additional drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
Lauder was arrested and booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of unlawful paraphernalia and obstructing a public peace officer.
