Oxford United head coach Aaron Ramsey has said that he is "fully committed" to the club despite the U's being put under a temporary transfer embargo.
Just weeks after he took over as boss, Oxford were told by the EFL that they would not be able to sign any players until they are compliant with their salary cost management protocol (SCMP) regulations.
This is Ramsey's first permanent management role in football having been interim Cardiff City boss for three games in 2025.
Despite it looking unlikely that Oxford will be able to sign any players this transfer window, Ramsey is hoping that the current situation may be resolved before January.
"I've been informed that will happen so hopefully it is the case," he told BBC Radio Oxford.
"There's a few things that need to be put in place over the next month or so, but I do see that being resolved before then.
"But this group of players have been brilliant and I'm just pleased that I have the opportunity now to really work with them.
"Me and my staff are fully committed to this, that's been the message to the players and there's enough quality in there to be competitive and to go places where we want to go this season."
Oxford recently returned from a pre-season training camp in Spain and beat Aldershot Town 3-1 in a friendly on Tuesday.
They will play friendlies against Barnet, Crawley Town and Ipswich Town before starting their League Cup campaign against Leyton Orient on 8 August, with their opening League One game of the season at home to MK Dons a week later.
The U's have said that they will be hoping to retain their current squad over the summer, and Ramsey believes that stance is something to be encouraged by.
"That's a real sign of intent from from the owners," Ramsey said.
"I'm really pleased about that and excited to to get going with this group of players, I can empathise with the fans but I'm calm in this situation and I've been reassured that this will be resolved very quickly.
"Over the last few weeks we've had a really good start, the boys' commitment and their standards have been exceptional and we've been asking a lot of them.
"They've responded really well to it so I can't fault the effort of the players and we'll just keep building on this."
