Police have been granted extra time to question suspects over an attempted murder in north Belfast this week.
Officers had responded to an alert that a man had been assaulted inside a residential property in the Duncairn Parade shortly before 6pm on Monday.
Three men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
On Wednesday, a court approved a further 36-hours to question two of the men, aged 41 and 42, while a 40-year-old man was bailed to allow for further enquiries.
As the investigation continues, Detective Chief Inspector Jenni Rea said: “We are asking anyone who has information about the assault to contact police and assist with our investigation.
“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault, or who may have captured footage, including CCTV or mobile phone recordings.
“We believe there are people who have information and would urge them to come forward.”
