Prince George is looking more grown up than ever in his brand-new birthday portrait.

The future king celebrates his 13th trip around the sun today, which his parents, Princess Catherine and Prince William, marked with a new series of posts on their personal Instagram account. (You can check out last year’s birthday portrait here.)

“Happy 13th Birthday, George! 🎉,” the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote under a photo of the now-teenager.

In the portrait, George is seen wearing a navy, single-breasted suit, a sophisticated ensemble seemingly meant to signal his increasingly mature age, as past birthday portraits have seen him wearing more casual pieces like vests, button-up shirts, and polos.

As he stands on a stairwell, the prince leaves his jacket hanging open to reveal a crisp white dress shirt underneath, which he styles sans a tie—a look frequently seen on his father, William.

Along with the portrait, the family also shared a video of George participating in activities like hiking, beach games, boat rides, and more. “Thank you for all the birthday wishes for George today!🎂,” the caption read.

Currently, Prince George is second in the line of succession to the throne, behind his father, who will take the crown when King Charles III eventually passes.

This fall will mark a big change for the eldest Wales child, who will start at Eton College, the same boarding school attended by his dad and uncle Prince Harry. It will be George’s first time going to school without his younger siblings: Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8.

Thirteen will certainly be a year of big changes for the young royal. Happy birthday, Prince George!
