Being born into the royal family may appear to be a daunting prospect for any young royal.
Thankfully, in the British royal family, its members appear to be exceptionally close with one another, from Zara Tindall's affectionate bond with both Prince William and Prince Harry to Prince George's close connection to his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
But there is another family member who appears to have developed a close bond with the future King's sister, Charlotte, and that is her cousin, Lady Louise Windsor, 22.
The eldest child of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh is reported to be known as the late Queen Elizabeth II's "favourite" grandchild, and while the former Monarch couldn't have been more of a fan of the St Andrews graduate, the same can also be said of her young cousin, Princess Charlotte, 11.
Their special familial bond was showcased in the sweetest way back in 2022 when they attended the Commonwealth Games.
Charlotte greeted her elder cousin with an excitable wave, and Louise could be seen beaming back at her.
In fact, Charlotte was delighted to see all the members of the Edinburgh family, with Prince Edward also sharing an excited wave back at the young Princess.
Lady Louise's special bond with Princess Charlotte
One way in which the royal family members will be forever bonded is by their shared middle name.
Both Louise and Charlotte have Elizabeth as a middle name in tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II, Louise's grandmother and Charlotte's great-grandmother.
Over the years, Louise has shown her tight-knit relationship with all of the Wales children - one particularly adorable moment saw her holding Prince George's hand as she helped a tiny Prince George with his page boy duties at Princess Eugenie's royal wedding in 2018.
Another adorable moment on that day showed saw tiny bridesmaid Charlotte copying her elder cousin, waving to the crowds as they arrived at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle together.
