Prime Video's latest No. 1 show is the action-comedy “Ride or Die,” which I can only describe as “Thelma & Louise” meets “James Bond.” It's a high-energy, fast-paced buddy caper centered on the hilarious and deeply relatable ups and downs of a lifelong female friendship. If you’re looking for a fun, bingeable summer watch with incredible lead chemistry, sleek car chases, and stylish fight choreography, “Ride or Die” deserves a spot on your watchlist.

“Ride or Die” follows lifelong best friends Debbie Claybourne (Octavia Spencer) and Judith Burton (Hannah Waddingham), whose lives quickly change when Debbie discovers that Judith has secretly spent years working as an international assassin. After a mission goes disastrously wrong, the pair are forced to flee across Europe while being pursued by dangerous criminals and figures from Judith’s past. The series also stars Bill Nighy, Ed Skrein, and Calam Lynch.

‘Silo’

There’s no better time to watch “Silo” now that season 3 is streaming on Apple TV. Based on Hugh Howey’s Wool book trilogy, this sci-fi thriller will appeal to fans of mystery-box shows like “Severance,” “Lost,” and “Snowpiercer.” Packed with huge twists and memorable characters, “Silo” is a benchmark for dystopian television. Apple TV has also proven its confidence in the show by renewing it for a fourth and final season, ensuring the story will receive the complete ending it deserves.

In a ruined future, the last 10,000 humans reside inside a self-sustaining, 144-story subterranean bunker known as the Silo. Bound by strict laws designed to protect them from a toxic surface world, the inhabitants live without knowledge of who built their home or why. When the local sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents begin dying under mysterious circumstances, Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson), a pragmatic engineer from the lowest mechanical levels, takes up the badge.

‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’

Summer has always been the perfect time to binge a romance series, and “The Summer I Turned Pretty” is one I regularly go back to when I’m in need of a mood-booster. Based on the bestselling young-adult book trilogy written by Jenny Han, this series became a massive social media phenomenon when its first season aired in 2022 (we all loved the yearning). Following the three-season TV run, Prime Video greenlit a continuation movie rather than another season to give the story’s final major milestone a cinematic scale.

“The Summer I Turned Pretty” follows Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung), a teenager who spends every summer at a Cousins Beach house with her mother, brother, and her mother’s best friend, Susannah (Rachel Blanchard). Susannah’s two teenage sons, Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), have always treated Belly like a younger sister. Everything changes the summer Belly turns 16. Having matured, she catches the romantic attention of both brothers, pulling her into a dangerous love triangle.
