Police seek suspected Tesla vandal in Irvine

Irvine police Wednesday requested the community’s support in identifying a man who they believe vandalized multiple Tesla vehicles.

The man caught on video entered a parking garage near Michelson Drive and Carlson Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Friday and spray-painted some of the Teslas in the lot, according to the Irvine Police Department.

Images released by Irvine police showed a man, dressed in black, approaching the cars then squatting down to spray them. The suspect initially had his face covered with a black mask, but it slipped at one point during the alleged act of vandalism.

Police said three Tesla vehicles were vandalized in the same parking garage.
