A wild police chase through the streets of Los Angeles came to a dramatic end when officers rammed the murder suspect’s Range Rover as he attempted to flee.

Santa Monica police officers began pursuing the suspect at the 405 Freeway-118 Freeway interchange in the San Fernando Valley around 7:15 a.m. after failing to take him into custody.

The officers called for assistance from California Highway Patrol, which also started chasing the suspect in Pacoima on the southbound 405 Freeway. The driver of the Range Rover was seen weaving in and out of traffic to evade cops and exiting the freeway in the Koreatown area.

The driver was then seen shifting into to oncoming traffic lanes and racing down Vermont Avenue before hopping back onto the eastbound 10 Freeway.

CHP officers chased the Range Rover as it topped speeds of 100 miles per hour into the San Gabriel Valley, recklessly dodging morning commuters.

The chase didn’t come to an end until the suspect narrowly missed a box truck on Paramount Boulevard and swerved to miss a car, hitting the median and sending the Range Rover rolling down the center of the road at low speed.

A CHP car then rammed into the Range Rover, bringing it to a stop.

Officers are seen darting out of their vehicle and holding the driver at gunpoint. He tries to open his passenger door, and cops reach in to drag him outside of his vehicle to arrest him.

The suspect was wanted for a July 3 road-rage incident during which he fired a round into a victim’s vehicle. The victim was not hurt, but the suspect was never caught, Santa Monica police said.

The Santa Monica Police Department told The California Post that detectives were trying to file attempted murder charges against the suspect. If they aren’t accepted, it could be knocked down to assault with a deadly weapon, the department noted.

No injuries from the chase have been reported.

Dodgers move Will Smith to 60-day IL. Will it impact trade deadline plans?

PHILADELPHIA –– What started as a day-to-day injury for catcher Will Smith has transformed into one that will now sideline him for at least 60 days, and very likely longer than that. On Tuesday, the Dodgers moved Smith to the 60-day injured list with an ongoing neck injury, clearing a 40-man roster spot in order to call up triple-A pitcher Charlie Barnes and freshen up their pitching staff. The move was largely procedural, with Smith’s injury ––...

Black Dems are right about the DSA threat — but they helped create it

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards is voicing the fury of the black political establishment, and of much of the black community, when he slams Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s comrades in the Democratic Socialists of America — but what he won’t admit is how much he’s enabled these extremists. In a couple of terse social media posts, Richards compared the DSA to white supremacists and 1960s-era white liberals who “pretend” to support black civil...

Zelensky fires Ukraine military chief and names replacement after mass protests

President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday fired Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi as commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces and named his replacement, following days of mass protests in Kyiv, the country’s capital, and other cities across the nation demanding his removal. It was the second major change Zelensky has made under street pressure, after protests last summer forced him to undo a law weakening Ukraine’s anti-corruption watchdogs. Zelensky...
