Police detained someone who is accused of crashing through the wall of a business in SE Portland on Tuesday afternoon before taking off running.
First responders were called out at about 4:45 p.m. on reports that a vehicle crashed into the Sherwin-Williams Paint Store located in the 9700 block of SE Division Street in the Powellhurst-Gilbert neighborhood.
People inside the paint store were hurt, however, they are expected to survive their injuries, Portland Police officials said.
The driver fled after the crash but was later apprehended by officers, according to a bureau spokesperson.

Details about what led up to the crash have not yet been released, however, the call was originally reported as a hit-and-run collision.
"This is an active investigation, and we will have more information to release when appropriate," Portland Police Sgt. Derek Carmon said.
