The PGA Tour heads to TPC Twin Cities this week for the 2026 3M Open. It’s a par 71 course running over 7,400 yards, with water hazards and 3.5-inch bluegrass rough forming the primary hazards for a field of 144 golfers to avoid.

Scottie Scheffler is by far the biggest name in this field. The World No. 1 makes his debut at this event, fresh off a T4 finish at Royal Birkdale during the Open Championship. He’s a massive betting favorite (+260) and is priced at $14,900 on DraftKings DFS.

Scheffler is $5K more expensive to roster than any other golfer in this field. He’s certainly a hefty premium in a tournament where a debutant has never won since the inaugural edition in 2019. His presence creates value when rostering other golfers in DFS lineups this week.

Designed by Arnold Palmer, bentgrass greens measure up to 13 feet via Stimpmeter and average 6,500 square feet at TPC Twin Cities. This is bigger than the average PGA Tour size, with plenty of restored bunkers in play. Fairways are also bentgrass, measuring 35 yards across, while a water hazard can be found on 15 of 18 holes. Its length rewards bombers, but accuracy tee-to-green is also key to low scores.

My PGA DFS Lineup Advice: Top Golfers (2026 Open Championship) was largely a flop. Tier 1 prospects Matt Fitzpatrick and Justin Rose both missed the cut. Wyndham Clark also missed the cut in Tier 2. Russell Henley (T9), Robert MacIntyre (T28) and Patrick Reed (T46) made it through the weekend from Tier 2 and Tier 3.

The 3M Open means there are only three events left until the FedExCup Playoffs tee off. Follow me on X at Matt_MacKay_ for more PGA DFS picks and insights down the final stretch of the 2026 PGA Tour season.

Kurt Kitayama $9,800
Keith Mitchell $9,500

Kurt Kitayama is going to be a chalk play this week due to his victory at the 2025 3M Open. Kitayama has two finishes inside the top 10 in both appearances at TPC Twin Cities, while ranked 10th in SG: Approach, sixth in total driving, and eighth for greens in regulation hit (70.3%) in 2026.

Keith Mitchell will tee off for the seventh time at the 3M Open, making him well-versed in navigating TPC Twin Cities. He’s posted a pair of top 5 finishes at this event, while ranked seventh in SG: Off-the-Tee, 16th for greens in regulation (69.7%) and eighth in birdie average. Mitchell has two top 5s across his last seven events, including at Shinnecock during the U.S. Open last month.

Max Homa $8,600
Johnny Keefer $7,800

Max Homa has been trending upward lately, posting five straight top 30 finishes, including a solo runner-up at the John Deere Classic on July 5. Homa ranks 39th in SG: Putting, 38th in driving distance, and 52nd in scrambling. Also logged a T3 at the 2020 3M Open before a pedestrian T39 finish last season.

Johnny Keefer may not be a household name like Homa, but he’s got a lot of quality metrics that make him an attractive piece in lineups at a low Tier 2 salary. The PGA Tour rookie ranks ninth in SG: Off-the-Tee, 15th in SG: Approach, and sits top-10 for greens in regulation hit (71.8%) and proximity ahead of his 3M Open debut.

Emiliano Grillo $7,300
Matt Kuchar $7,000

One of the most reliable golfers we’ve seen at the 3M Open has been Emiliano Grillo. The Argentinian could use this event to snap back into a top 10 finish for the first time since a T7 at the Valspar Championship in March. Grillo has gone T3-MC-T2-T10-T24-T20 at TPC Twin Cities. He’s ranked 12th in driving accuracy and 32nd in proximity during 2026.

Matt Kuchar is a strong anchor for our lineups. The 48-year-old has rattled off T22-T22-T15 finishes in three straight events played, while posting a T3 finish in his last appearance at TPC Twin Cities in 2024.
