As I look back at the 2025 fantasy football finishes of tight ends, there are three who immediately stand out as bounce-back candidates, and average draft position (ADP) data confirms that. Below, I’ll examine each of these players and explain their pitfalls.

Bounce-Back Fantasy Football Tight Ends
Tucker Kraft (TE – GB)
Before Tucker Kraft tore his ACL in Week 9, he was having a sensational season. From Weeks 1 to 8, he was the TE2 in PPR leagues, and that included a Week 5 bye. Kraft averaged 16.2 fantasy points per game and had a high of 33.3 points in Week 8. Over that same period, he had a 20.6% target share, trailing only Romeo Doubs‘ 21.1%. Kraft caught 30 of his 41 targets for 469 yards and six touchdowns.
Doubs is no longer on the team after signing a four-year, $68 million deal with the New England Patriots. Sure, Kraft will still compete with Matthew Golden, Christian Watson and Jayden Reed for targets, but if he recovers well from his ACL, Jordan Love will look his way again.
Brock Bowers (TE – LV)
Brock Bowers finished the season as the TE8 in PPR leagues, and while that’s fantastic for most, he was the TE1 as a rookie, so this was a noticeable step back. Bowers played in just 12 games last season, which included Weeks 1-4 and Weeks 9-16. For fantasy football, he missed Weeks 5-8 and Week 17. The Raiders’ bye week was Week 8.
Over the weeks he played, Bowers had a 23.6% target share, catching 64 passes on 86 targets for 680 yards and seven touchdowns. He had a lot of touchdown production, but he also had a quarterback in Geno Smith who averaged just 201.7 passing yards per game. This was fairly on par with his 2024-25 collection of signal-callers, which included Gardner Minshew II, Aidan O’Connell and Desmond Ridder. Bowers would’ve been fine if he hadn’t missed all those weeks.
Bowers’ per-game average was 5.33 receptions for 56.67 yards and 0.58 touchdowns. Over the course of 17 games, that would’ve been about 91 catches for 963 yards and close to 10 touchdowns — more than enough production to finish as the fantasy TE2 in PPR leagues behind Trey McBride.
With Kirk Cousins/Fernando Mendoza as his quarterback and health in check, Bowers will produce closer to his previous TE1 finish.
Sam LaPorta (TE – DET)
Sam LaPorta has been dealing with some back and herniated disc issues, and last played in Week 10. Head coach Dan Campbell recently said he liked the direction things were going for LaPorta. While this is a wait-and-see situation, if he’s given the green light and plays, I feel confident that LaPorta will rebound.
From Weeks 1-10, including a Week 8 bye week, LaPorta was the TE8 in PPR leagues. He averaged 11.9 fantasy points per game, catching 40 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns before the injury. In that span, he had an 18.6% target share, which was second on the team behind wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown (31.2%).
A fully healthy LaPorta should finish the season as a fantasy TE1.
