Pawn Stars host Rick Harrison made an appearance on Newsmax's "Wake Up America Weekend" to weigh in on a new Trump memorabilia item.
Harrison, 61, was brought in to assess the worth of the new "Trump coin," a gold-colored $1 coin bearing President Donald Trump's image. While Trump has marketed the coins as "gold," Harrison set the record straight, clarifying that the coins are actually "gold-tone" and not genuine gold.
Newsmax anchor Andrew Craft, 34, was taken aback when Harrison revealed that the Trump coin is "88% copper." The pair then debated the coin's potential value as a collectible. Craft questioned whether the Trump coins would "sell like gangbusters," leading Harrison to point out that the "largest coin dealer in the world for collectible coins is the U.S. mint." This comes as Trump's airport name change backfires immediately as passengers boycott.

Harrison added, "I think this will be highly collectible," before addressing the controversy surrounding depicting a living person on currency, referencing a coin from the 150th anniversary of the U.S. featuring former President Calvin Coolidge, reports the Express US.
"I think it'll sell like hot cakes. You know, fifty percent of the population will like it, fifty percent will not," Harrison noted. He also delved into the history of the world's most valuable coin, the "eagle coin," which carries a staggering worth of $30 million.
Craft kept questioning, asking, "What about the Trump coin? I mean, 95, 96 years from now, could you see the Trump gold coin appreciating in value over time? Like the eagle?" Harrison clarified that most enthusiasts will submit the coin for professional grading, aiming for the flawless score of 70.
"It's one of those things where you don't just have coin collectors buying it, you're going to have Trump fans buying it too, which I think is really going to push the price up," said Harrison.
Harrison also discussed the heritage of "great" design featured on the coin, which displays an eagle grasping an olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other.
"The eagle is looking at the olive branch, and not at the arrows, which means try to do peace before you go to war," added the Pawn Stars host.
Craft highlighted the link between the Trump coin and the "America 250" commemoration of the United States' 250th anniversary.
"It's just another cool token as we continue celebrating America 250. I know the 4th of July is over, but this is really an all-year celebration," added the Newsmax host.
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent characterized the coin as celebrating "the strength of American values, and the promise of a nation dedicated to preserving freedom for all."
The Trump coins are designed to "honor the enduring legacy of liberty and a lasting symbol of patriotism," he added.
