The Patriots announced three roster moves on Wednesday.
The signing of rookie free agent linebacker Riley Wilson was previously reported. The Patriots also signed first-year tight end Mitch Van Vooren and released fullback Brock Lampe.
Van Vooren, 25, entered the NFL as a rookie free agent in 2025, signing with the Seahawks. Seattle cut him on June 13, 2025, and he signed with the Browns on Aug. 4 before they waived him on Aug. 24.
Van Vooren earned first-team All-NACC honors during his final collegiate season at St. Norbert after recording 33 receptions for 510 yards and 10 touchdowns. He began his college career as a track athlete at Marquette, setting the school record in the 400-meter hurdles.
Lampe, 23, signed with the Patriots in 2025 as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Illinois. He spent all of last season on injured reserve.
