Panthers GM Dan Morgan announced some transactions at his pre-training camp presser on Wednesday.

With rookies and veterans now having reported back to Charlotte, the Carolina Panthers are just about ready to get cracking on this summer's training camp. But before the practices begin, a little housekeeping needed to be done.

President of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan addressed the media on Wednesday afternoon. He kicked off his press conference by announcing some transactions involving a handful of players—starting with defensive lineman Bobby Brown III.

Brown has sustained a hamstring injury and will be placed on the reserve/non-football injury list. He did not offer up a timeline on his return, but noted the team is hoping Brown will be back "sooner than later."

Morgan also touched on the NFI placements of cornerback Jaycee Horn (toe) and right tackle Taylor Moton (blood clot), which were made official on Tuesday. Per Morgan, Horn is likely to be back in "a matter of days" while Moton is "doing really well."

They'll be joined on the shelf by left tackle Ikem Ekwonu (torn patellar tendon) and defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton (neck)—who will be put on the physically unable to perform list. Both are expected to miss time during the regular season.

Additionally, the Panthers have waived-injured rookie cornerback Jaylon Guilbeau with a non-football injury.
