Donald "Don" Belson, owner of the Sioux City Bandits Indoor Football Team, has passed away at age 76.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Donald “Don” Belson, owner of the Sioux City Bandits Indoor Football Team, has passed away at age 76.

According to an online obituary, Don passed on Thursday, July 15, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

In 2001, Don volunteered with the Sioux City Bandits game-day operations and would end up purchasing the team in October 2022.

“Owning the Bandits wasn’t just about football-it was about creating another opportunity for himself, Cindy, and Tim to spend time together while supporting athletes and the local community,” reads the obituary.
