Autzen Stadium is a well-known stadium in college football; but where does it land on USA TODAY's ranking of stadiums in the Big Ten?

The sport of college football has some of the more well-recognized stadiums in America. The Rose Bowl. The Big House. Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Kyle Field. All of which have a capacity of at least 75,000 seats, with several going over the 100,000 mark.

But within the depth of college football rests another iconic venue: Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore, home of the Oregon Ducks.

Known for it's raucous fans and stadium design that keeps the noise inside the stadium rattling opposing teams with regularity, Autzen Stadium presents one of the most incredible home-field advantages in all of sports. In a ranking of the top stadiums in the Big Ten by USA TODAY, Autzen Stadium landed at No. 2, with a large part being the Ducks' excellent home record in recent seasons.

"Autzen has been as unfriendly as ever under coach Dan Lanning," USA TODAY's Paul Myerberg wrote. "The Ducks have lost just twice at home since hiring Lanning in 2022 and just once since joining the Big Ten. This stretch rivals the most dominant run of play at home in program history, a 21-game winning streak under former Chip Kelly that ended with a loss to Southern California in 2011."

Oregon's home stadium came in behind only one other Big Ten stadium: The Shoe in Columbus, Ohio, home of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Autzen Stadium was ahead of several other notable venues, including Penn State's Beaver Stadium, Michigan's Michigan Stadium (also known as The Big House) and Iowa's Kinnick Stadium.

But they don't quite stack up to the atmosphere that Autzen Stadium provides in little old Eugene, where Saturday gameday's are an all-day event with tailgating before and after the Ducks — more than likely — come away with a victory.

This coming season, winning at Autzen Stadium will be of utmost importance to the Ducks, as they'll host Michigan and Washington in the final month of the season likely with College Football Playoff implications. But with their raucous, supportive crowd behind them that is among the best in the Big Ten, it shouldn't be much of a problem.
