An online coffee subscription service known for its "mindful coffee experience" is opening its first in-person café in New Jersey.
Burst Beans Coffee strives to encourage authentic and intentional living. The company is opening in downtown Hackensack.
Its mission is to "help people slow down, be intentional and prioritize self-care one cup at a time," its Instagram profile says.

The company was founded in 2022 by certified life coach Shaquanda Reese. It offers a mindful coffee experience by creating blends named after characteristics that are part of the self-care journey, says its website.
Seven characteristic blends are offered on the website: balance, confidence, empowered, endurance, resilience, strength and vitality.
Some of the coffee blends are specialty coffee from different countries. Vitality is from Colombia, balance is from Ethiopia and confidence is from Africa and South America.
The website also offers tea blends and other flavored coffees, such as s'mores and Dubai chocolate. All of the coffee blends are also available in K-cups.
Each blend has a positive affirmation on its bag to give a mindful start to the day and encourage intentional living, the website says.
The café will serve its specialty coffee roasted in small batches and made to order. The goal is "a café where community, mindfulness, and exceptional coffee come together," Reese said in an Instagram post.
No opening date has been set, but the café is hiring baristas who align with its mission. The shop will be at 95 Anderson St. in Hackensack.
