The City of Framingham, Massachusetts, says work is moving forward the week of July 20th on the Warren & Walnut Neighborhood Infrastructure Project, with crews expected to complete a key step this week. According to the City’s update, Framingham Public Works contractor P. Gioioso & Sons will finish installing a temporary water bypass on Burdette Avenue, then disinfect the line through chlorination and conduct water quality testing to confirm it is safe and functioning properly.
City officials say that if the testing results are satisfactory, crews could begin connecting nearby properties to the temporary bypass toward the end of the week. The City of Framingham notes that this temporary setup helps support continued infrastructure improvements while other work is underway in the neighborhood.
The City also reports that once work on the Central Street project is finished, crews are scheduled to start cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining in the Warren & Walnut area. Construction is planned for weekdays from 7 AM to 3 PM, and drivers should expect traffic to be reduced to one lane with alternating flow through the work zone. The City of Framingham is asking residents to allow extra travel time, follow posted signs, and use caution around work crews as the project continues.
