Shop the Jazz Shoe Trend

Wimbledon fashion has come and gone, but some looks, like Nicole Kidman’s head-to-toe Ralph Lauren suit, will live on—and dare I say even inspire a major fall shoe trend? The actress finished off her streamlined, all-white outfit with a pair of woven white jazz shoes that are shaping up to make a huge resurgence this fall.

Kidman’s exact shoes are the Ralph Lauren Collection Christie Flat Oxfords which are only sold in black, so she likely had them custom made to match her outfit. The woven leather texture is so stunning, especially in the lighter hue. They ever-so-slightly peek out of her cream-colored trousers, looking polished and cool, but not overly stuffy for a laidback French Girl appeal.

The 2026 jazz shoe silhouette is sort of like if a loafer, ballet flat, and a sneaker all came together to create one shoe. Dance-inspired hybrid styles, like ballet sneakers, have been a massive hit, so it only makes sense that the jazz shoe is next in line. Other celebrities including Charlize Theron and Lily Collins have already bought into the style, too. The shoe also anchored Michael Rider’s highly anticipated debut for Celine’s Spring Summer 2026 collection

There’s a real appetite in fashion for newness, and there’s no denying that the style feels fresh in a sea of black ballet flats. And it has great versatility—you can wear these shoes with jeans and a blouse, trousers and a button-up, or even a dress, à la Theron. While there’s no exact jazz shoe style that’s ruling the market just yet,  there are tons of inspired iterations in silhouettes like flats, loafers, and sneakers

Get ahead of the trend and grab a pair for yourself, below.

These woven mesh sneakers from Vivaia have a similar streamlined silhouette to Kidman’s leather flats. The podiatrist-approved brand makes the comfiest styles as per our editors, so I know they’d last comfortably through a long day.

If you’re on the hunt for a more traditional jazz shoe like the ones worn by Collins and Theron, I’d opt for these from H&M. The simple yet refined style goes with everything, and better yet, you can test drive the trend for under $50.

Keds Champion Sneakers

If sneakers are your most worn style of shoes, a pair of canvas Keds have a similar subtle slim silhouette and French Girl vibe to them as a pair of jazz shoes. The slightly rounded-toe and lace-up details are nearly identical.

Zara always makes the best designer lookalikes, and this 100-percent leather pair is no different. They remind me of the shoes sent down the runway at Celine.

I love how these oxfords are styled on the website, and it’s just further proof that the shoe is so versatile. It also stands-out in the best way compared to the casual loafer or ballet flat. Take notes and style your pair similarly with jeans, a button-down, and a layered sweater.

There’s no one jazz shoe style better than the next. It really comes down to what style and brand speaks to your wardrobe most. These from Kenneth Cole have a square-toe silhouette and slightly lifted sole. They also come in black.
