Brooklyn Nets guard Egor Demin is receiving praise for his performance at the 2026 NBA Summer League. He’s also receiving accolades. Demin was named second-team All-Summer League on Tuesday, alongside Cedric Coward, Liam McNeeley, Zyon Pullin and Khaman Maluach.
Cameron Boozer, Brayden Burries, Yaxel Lendeborg, Meleek Thomas and Caleb Wilson earned first-team selections.
Demin averaged 21.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists on .426/.300/.875 shooting splits in just 25.3 minutes per game across three appearances in Las Vegas. His dramatic improvement as a driver caught the attention of scouts, executives and analysts.
Demin shot 11-of-17 on twos with eight trips to the free-throw line after shooting 1-of-4 with one trip to the line at last year’s Summer League.

ESPN selected the Nets guard as the Summer League’s top sophomore.
“Boy, has the switch flipped for Demin, who was a timid and largely ineffective rookie for the rebuilding Nets,” Ben Golliver wrote. The Russian guard failed to make the most of his 6-foot-8 size last season, hanging out behind the 3-point line and rarely scoring at the rim. Demin, 20, looked like a completely different and much more complete player this summer: He attacked off the dribble with greater regularity, finished in traffic and made good, assertive decisions as a playmaker. The Nets desperately need some of their recent draft picks to emerge as difference-makers, and Demin took a nice step in that direction by averaging 21.0 points and 4.3 assists in three Las Vegas exhibitions.”
Demin’s improvement alongside No. 6 pick Mikel Brown Jr. has inspired optimism about the Nets’ rebuild outlook. Brown also impressed at Summer League, averaging 15.0 points and 4.0 assists in 21.7 minutes per game across four appearances in Sacramento and Las Vegas.
The pair of top-8 picks will form Brooklyn’s starting backcourt. Veterans Michael Porter Jr., Julius Randle and Day’Ron Sharpe will star alongside them in the team’s starting five, barring a trade before the regular season.
