Take-Two Interactive and 2K Sports have officially revealed "NBA 2K27," complete with the important details, release date, and more.
The announcement kicks off the next chapter of the long-running basketball simulation series, with pre-orders already live across every platform.
'NBA 2K27' Officially Revealed by 2K Sports
"NBA 2K27," developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K, launches globally on September 4 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. Players who pre-order the Deluxe or Ultra Edition on PS5, Xbox, or PC will get Early Access starting August 28 at 9 a.m. PT, up to a full week before the standard release.
Zak Armitage, SVP and General Manager of the "NBA 2K" franchise, said Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark, and Derrick Rose each come from different worlds but "share the same obsession" that has shaped the direction of the game.
A full gameplay trailer showing off the game's new features and improvements is scheduled to debut on July 28, giving fans their first proper look at what's changed heading into this year's release.

Victor Wembanyama headlines the Standard Edition cover, coming off a season where he became the first unanimous winner of the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award while leading the San Antonio Spurs back to the NBA Finals. He also earned First Team All-NBA honors and was named Western Conference Finals MVP.
Caitlin Clark stars on the Deluxe Edition, with the Indiana Fever guard being named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year and earning an All-Star selection in each of her three professional seasons.
Lastly, Derrick Rose rounds out the trio on the limited-time Ultra Edition, marking his second appearance on a 2K cover after previously being featured on "NBA 2K13," being the second time 2K Sports featured three athletes on the cover. The three-time NBA All-Star remains the youngest MVP in league history.
'NBA 2K27' Pre-Orders Now Live
All three editions of "NBA 2K27" are available for pre-order now through the game's official website and major storefronts.
・Standard Edition ($69.99): Includes the base game featuring Victor Wembanyama on the cover, available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with a 10,000 VC pre-order bonus.
・Deluxe Edition ($99.99): Includes 100,000 VC, MyCAREER content such as skill and Gatorade boosts, a Victor Wembanyama jersey and Caitlin Clark jersey, and MyTEAM content including a full Series 1 Team Selection, a Triple Threat Park Free Agent Pack, and five Series 1 Packs, along with up to 7 days of Early Access.
・Ultra Edition ($149.99, limited availability through September 6): Includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus an additional 35,000 VC, a Season 1 Pro Pass, the Summer Season Pass Pro Pass Bundle covering Seasons 7 through 9, a Roses Oversized Hoodie for MyCAREER, and two guaranteed premium MyTEAM cards, including a 98 OVR card in December 2026 and an Invincible card in May 2027.
Anyone who pre-orders the Deluxe or Ultra Edition before August 17 also receives a limited-time bonus across both "NBA 2K26" and "NBA 2K27," including extra VC, a Racecar Helmet, and a G.O.A.T. Stephen Curry MyTEAM card.
Returning "NBA 2K26" players who pre-order the Ultra Edition on the same platform (PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam) will also receive a 10 percent loyalty discount.
