Mother and daughter fight outside their car while passing through Highland Heights

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Mayfield police reported July 20 that two women were fighting outside of their vehicle in the southbound lanes of Interstate-271.

Responding officers found that Mayfield officers had separated the women. They were told that the mother and daughter had been out drinking and an argument occurred on their way home, during which, the daughter kicked her mother in the face while the mother was driving.

The mother then stopped the car and they began fighting outside the vehicle.

The fight resulted in the Bedford Heights woman, 45, sustaining a busted lip and her daughter, a 25-year-old Maple Heights woman, sustaining minor wounds.

The daughter was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment and charged with domestic violence.
