Mohamed Salah’s next club odds took a massive turn following the latest report suggesting he is nearing a decision.
Salah’s transfer decision appears to be imminent after finally wrapping up his 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with Egypt. The Liverpool icon captained his nation to its best ever World Cup finish, losing in the Round of 16 to Argentina in a match that saw a controversial VAR decision chalk off an Egypt goal.
With his national team responsibilities now finished, the 34-year-old must now decide where he will play his club soccer next season. Salah has been linked with various moves, including to Saudi Arabia, MLS, and Italy, with no clear suitor emerging from the pack.

Now, one club has now become a massive favorite to earn Salah’s signature. Turkish club Besiktas has moved down to -333 odds to land the Egyptian King after a report suggested they struck a ‘verbal agreement’ with Salah.
That report has since been deemed false by Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa, who posted on X, “I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?” shortly after his client was said to have agreed to terms with the Turkish giants.
Besiktas president Serdal Adali has since stated that the potential transfer is stalled after Salah’s agents made “astronomical” demands, but added “negotiations are ongoing.” Given what the betting odds say, bookmakers anticipate there is a strong likelihood both parties come to an agreement.
The Istanbul-based club has not won the Super Lig since the 2020-21 season. After coming fourth in 2025-26, they must go through qualification in order to participate in the UEFA Europa League.
If Salah does end up choosing Besiktas, he will join former Arsenal winger and Premier League champion Leandro Trossard at the club after the Belgian finalized his transfer earlier this summer.
The betting odds suggest no other club is particularly close to signing Salah. ‘Any MLS team,’ Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, and Al Ahli are next on the list, all with +350 odds to land him.

Salah departed Liverpool at the end of the 2025-26 season following nine years with the club. Since coming to Anfield at the start of the 2017-18 season, Salah scored 257 goals and provided 120 assists in 442 appearances across all competitions.
He helped the club win the 2018-19 Champions League title, two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, two League Cups, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Salah won four Premier League Golden Boot awards and ranks as the fourth-leading scorer in the history of England’s top flight with 193 goals.
