Kaylee Hottle was killed in a tragic car crash in the early morning of Tuesday, July 21. She was 18.

Millie Bobby Brown is paying tribute to Godzilla vs. Kong co-star Kaylee Hottle following the actress' death on Tuesday, July 21, at 18.

The Stranger Thingsstar, 22, took to her Instagram Story after TMZ broke the news that Hottle was killed in a car crash to share a black-and-white image of Hottle holding up a Kong toy during their film together.

“I’m so devastated to hear this,” Brown wrote. “You will be deeply missed Kaylee.”

Actress Rebecca Hall, who played Hottle's on-screen mother in both Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, also honored the young deaf actress following her death, sharing photos from their time together on Instagram with the caption, "Devastated to hear this news. My heart goes out to your family. You will be missed Kaylee."

Hottle was one of two passengers in a car that was involved in the fatal car crash in Maryland on Tuesday, and she died while being transported to the hospital, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to CNN.

Excessive speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, which occurred when the vehicle went off the road and hit a culvert in Ijamsville, as per the sheriff's office. The crash is under investigation.

Hottle's parents, Joshua and Ketsi Hottle, both shared emotional video statements on social media following the loss of their daughter.

“Kaylee’s mom and four siblings are crushed,” her father said in ASL in a Facebook post, as per CNN. “They are together at home, grieving. I am on my way to Maryland to bring Kaylee’s body back home.”

He continued that he was "very grateful for the 18 years we had together and wish we had more."

Hottle's mother similarly called it a “privilege to be” the mother of her late daughter in a tearful ASL message shared to Instagram.
