EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) — The Consulate General of Mexico in El Paso will offer free legal guidance, immigration consultations, and educational resources, and is inviting women, children, juveniles, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to better understand their rights.

As part of its weeklong “Inclusion is Protection” legal assistance campaign, the consulate says it will promote the protection of their rights and help prevent situations of violence and discrimination.

The consulate’s legal assistance week will run from July 27-31 and will include a legal information call bank. From 4:30-6:30 p.m. on July 27, community members can call 915-613-2173 for free and confidential guidance from immigration specialists who can answer questions about individual rights, consular protection, and available legal resources.

The consulate will also provide free walk-in legal assistance from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. According to a news release, attorneys and partner organizations participating in the Legal Assistance Program for Mexican Nationals (PALE) will provide one-on-one guidance at no cost.

The consulate will also be sharing informational videos on its social media platforms to help the community learn about their rights and available support services in the region.
