McDonald’s quietly added two new breakfast sandwiches to its menu: the Honey Brown Butter Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit and the Honey Brown Butter Chicken Biscuit.

The new sandwiches have started popping up in McDonald’s apps across the country. They aren’t all that different from the breakfast biscuits you already know and love. One comes with two half-strips of bacon, a folded egg (or a scrambled egg if you know our favorite ordering hack), and American cheese, while the other features a signature crispy chicken patty.

The real difference is what’s drizzled over the top: a brand-new honey brown butter sauce.

Brown butter, with its toasty, caramelized flavor, is the kind of ingredient that used to mostly show up in gourmet cookbooks and restaurant kitchens, but lately it’s been popping up everywhere. Pillsbury recently launched a brown butter chocolate chip cookie dough, while McCormick just introduced a Brown Butter Finishing Salt, making it pretty clear the flavor is having a moment.
