Things that seem unbelievable: summer is basically here, my pulled muscle will heal, and that Martha Stewart is 84 years old. The first happens in accordance with the Earth’s rotation, the second will be healed with stretching and Ibuprofen, and the third is simply a fact of life and the passage of time. But, I get it—how is Stewart managing all of her endless enterprises, businesses, and partnerships, all the while looking glamorous and having an enviable complexion? This, thankfully, doesn’t have to be a rhetorical question, and the answer starts at just $11.
Stewart’s skin care brand, Elm Biosciences, launched its second skin care product, an overnight cream that she told me has her waking up “looking really good.” She also spoke to Vogue about the launch in a video where she outlined her daily routine, most of which is available on Amazon. Her Amazon routine begins with Mario Badescu’s $11 body wash and ends with Lancôme Hypnôse’s Eyeshadow Palette.
Mario Badescu AHA Botanical Body Wash Moisturizing
“This is the soap I use on my face. I have been a visitor to a Mario Badescu spa for more than 45 years. I love, I love their products, and I love their facials,” Stewart says in the video. Though this is a body wash, I can see why she uses it on her face—it has ingredients you typically apply there, including texture-smoothing alpha hydroxy acid, pore-shrinking ginseng extract, and brightening grapefruit. One of the thousands of five-star shoppers said, “[my skin] is softer, smoother, and has a much more youthful glow.”
L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion Skin Enhancer
$18 $15 at Amazon
If you’ve been here a while, then you already know—L’Oréal’s Lumi Glotion is a hall of fame makeup product among celebrities. Stewart shared that she’s been using this ever since she did a social media campaign for it three years ago. “I like to glow… [and] it gives you just that glow that is so important.” The all-in-one primer, skin tint, luminizer, and bronzer is perfect for Stewart, who says, “I’ve never been a heavy makeup person.” A 46-year-old shopper backs the lifestyle mogul’s words of praise. “I have small fine lines but you can’t see them because of this…it definitely blurs them out…I will never wear face makeup again.”
Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Face and Body Cream Bronzer
It’s probably not an exaggeration to say that at least one Charlotte Tilbury product is in every celebrity’s beauty arsenal. Martha Stewart’s pick from Amal Clooney’s go-to brand is this cream bronzer that makes her skin look smooth and poreless. It comes in four shades and is like a day spent poolside in Ibiza, even when the reality is couch-ridden in a frozen tundra. “It’s a great product for older skin,” one shopper said, adding, “it hides dark circles and the creamy base goes on smoothly.”
Alastin Skincare HydraTint Pro Mineral Sunscreen
The closest thing Stewart uses to a traditional makeup complexion product is Alastin’s tinted sunscreen. “Now this is my foundation…it’s what I wear to the gym,” she said. After applying it with her fingers, she uses the rest on her hands. “My hands need a little bit of coverage, and they do need sunblock all the time,” she explains. It’s a mineral SPF formula with subtle, almost sheer pigment that still provides imperfection-blurring coverage. A shopper in their 40s said, “it evens out my skin tone and doesn’t settle into wrinkles or pores. It leaves my skin looking better than it is.”
Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear C.E. Skin Transforming Highlighter,
Stewart applies this highlighter to her cheekbones, eyebrow arches, and neck and you can immediately see that those areas catch light and add dimension to her skin. “See how pretty it is? Just beautiful,” she accurately remarks. It comes in five shades and purportedly has 24-hour wear. A Nordstrom reviewer said it “goes on very smooth” and gives an easy “glowy highlighted look.”
