Man and dog killed after truck crashes into tree

IDAHO FALLS — Deputies are investigating a crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon that killed a man and a dog.

According to a release from the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, officials were dispatched to the 7000 North block of 15th East just before noon after a report of a crash.

When they arrived, deputies reportedly found a small pickup truck that had gone off the roadway and into a tree in the front yard of a home.

Deputies and Idaho Falls Fire personnel say they discovered a man and a dog inside the truck, who were both deceased.

Initial deputy reports indicate the truck was driving northbound on 15th East when it lost control and left the roadway. No other occupants were in the truck and no other vehicles were involved.

The Bonneville County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
