The Minnesota Lynx were already the best team in the league, but once they got Napheesa Collier back on the court, it was a done deal. Collier made her season debut against the Seattle Storm after missing the first 10 weeks of the season as she rehabbed from offseason ankle surgeries, and she truly didn’t miss a beat.

Collier finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds, and she did it all in 22 minutes. It looks like Collier may be on a minutes restriction, which is no surprise, but she played well in just over 20 minutes. The Lynx were also able to defeat the Storm 86-76, as they continue to keep their top spot in the league.

It’s good for the Lynx to be able to get Collier back before the All-Star break, but there was always a chance that she would return around this time.

Collier is undoubtedly one of the best players in the WNBA, and she’s proved it over the past few years, making an impact on both sides of the ball. She was the runner-up for MVP last season behind A’ja Wilson, and she continues to lift the Lynx to new heights.

Unfortunately, during the playoffs last season, she was injured against the Phoenix Mercury, and the Lynx ended up losing the series. Since then, she hasn’t been able to play in a game.

While Collier was sidelined, the Lynx have stood tall, and it’s because of the other talent that’s on the team. Olivia Miles is having a great rookie season and is already an All-Star starter. Kayla McBride and Courtney Williams also continue to be the offensive spark plugs for the team, and they make it hard for the opposition to keep up.

With Collier back in the fold, the Lynx have a good chance of making a deep playoff run this season.
