Longtime Bears nemesis caught an epic stray in a place nobody saw coming

A former Chicago Bears enemy was embarrassed in epic fashion recently that will make the fan base in the Windy City laugh all together.

Ah, life is good when the greatest rivalry in sports is alive and well, isn't it? It's especially good when the Chicago Bears have won three out of four against these Green Bay Packers.

It wasn't always like this, though, as Bears fans know good and well. There was a time, not too long ago, when the Packers came out on top far more often than not. Times when names like Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, Charles Woodson, or ... Clay Matthews were in their prime.

Speaking of the former Goldilocks lookalike, Matthews went on Bussin' With the Boys recently and spoke on the rivalry as of late while also sharing one hilarious story that'll have Bears fans feeling vindicated.

"I went to the post office. I moved addresses and was getting a change of mail thing going and the lady looks at me and she's like, 'oh I thought I recognized you.' She's like, 'all right you're good to go.' I said, 'I'm all good?' She's like 'oh yeah ... do the Bears still suck?' And I was like, 'damn.' So I'm gettin' that a lot lately."

"A postal body bag," you could hear one of the other hosts saying in the background.

The Bears-Packers rivalry is not what Clay Matthews remembers it to be

This certainly isn't the same rivalry, that's for sure.

Clay Matthews' Packers flat-out owned the Bears during his career with Green Bay. In head-to-head matchups with Chicago, Matthews' Packers went a startling 16-3 over his 19 career games played against the Bears.

That is sheer dominance.

Matthews was an absolute nightmare for Bears fans, and for quite a while. In any given game against the Bears, there was almost a 100 percent chance Matthews would make a big play. He totaled 9.5 sacks, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles against Chicago throughout his career.

But, now? The Bears are atop the "what have you done for me lately?" standings within this rivalry.

The hype surrounding this Bears team has been bigger than it has in years, but somehow that still doesn't equate to Chicago being favored in the NFC North.

Most outlets, right now, have the Packers or Lions favored to win the division. That is largely due to the Bears having to play a first-place schedule, which means they're going to have a harder schedule after winning the division last season. Chicago will play multiple division winners from last year, making it a more difficult path to winning the North.

But that's also what's going to continue to make this rivalry even better for the foreseeable future. It's a competitive division, and both teams have young pieces who will be around for a long time. This isn't the same division Matthews was a part of, where the Bears and Lions were easy wins.

The Bears are now part of arguably the best division in football, but one thing is absolutely for certain: no, the Bears don't still suck.

Sorry, Clay.
