LeBron James has been told that he is copying Aaron Rodgers' free agency tactics as he still decides which team he'll be playing for next season.
James left the Los Angeles Lakers after he choosing not to renew his contract, making him a free agent for what is looking likely to be his final year in the NBA. He has been consistently linked with a move back to either the Miami Heat or Cleveland Cavaliers.
The majority of NBA free agents have now signed elsewhere, while James awaits to make his move, with Tim Hardaway Sr comparing it to Rodgers' moves.

In each of the last two years, the veteran quarterback has left it very late before signing, waiting until after the NFL Draft to move to the Pittsburgh Steelers last year and doing the exact same when re-upping with them for one final season in 2026.
Rodgers waiting so long meant the Steelers selected a quarterback in each of the two drafts, which appeared to be backups in case the veteran did not return to play. He signed deals with the team in June of both years, with Hardaway Sr believing James is taking a play out of his book.
He said: "You know, he’s just like Aaron Rodgers. He’s going to milk it, milk it, milk it."
Hardaway Sr added: "The league is not upset with him, but they're like, hurry up because we just got to get this schedule together."
While the Heat and the Cavaliers are seen as the two most likely landing spots, a move to the Golden State Warriors does not appear to be ruled out.
James has spoken, on numerous occasions, on wanting to play alongside Steph Curry, while being close friends with Draymond Green.
“I know it seems crazy, but there is at least curiosity on both sides,” an insider told NBC Sports Bay Area. “This wouldn’t even be a conversation five or six years ago, and it might not happen now, but there’s enough there that we shouldn’t ignore the possibility. It’s mostly up to LeBron.”
It is not known as to when James will make his decision, with Patrick Beverley tweeting on Monday that he expected the decision to be on that day - which did not come.
