Lamine Yamal had a special someone by his side as he became a 2026 FIFA World Cup champ!
After the 19-year-old soccer star helped the Spanish men’s national team to victory over Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday, July 19, his girlfriend, Inés García, could not have been more proud. The 21-year-old influencer wrapped her arms around her athlete beau and appeared to plant a kiss on him while celebrating Spain’s win at New York New Jersey Stadium.
Yamal shared a sweet photo of the moment in a carousel of several other celebratory pictures from the championship final on Instagram.
He and García also snapped several photos with the FIFA World Cup Trophy. The right winger wrapped his arms around his girlfriend, who held the gold award, as they sat together surrounded by confetti after Sunday’s match.
García shared a different shot of the same moment — in hers, she smiles as Yamal sticks his tongue out playfully — in her own Instagram post documenting the World Cup win.
“You did it. Congratulations my love, you are the champion of the world 🤎,” she wrote alongside the post, originally penned in Spanish.
She also reposted the same snap — along with the picture of her and Yamal’s post-game kiss — on Instagram Stories, where she described the celebratory scene as a “happy ending.”
The FC Barcelona player’s post-World Cup celebrations also included a sweet moment with his 3-year-old brother, who has become a fan-favorite fixture throughout the FIFA tournament this year.
After securing the victory over Argentina on Sunday, Yamal’s little brother, Keyne, could be seen running straight into his soccer star brother’s arms and screaming with joy over the win. Yamal later shared a snap of himself, mom Sheila Ebana and the toddler — who can be seen placing a hand on the World Cup trophy — on Instagram.
Yamal — who was one of the youngest players to compete in this year’s tournament — and García first went public with their relationship when he brought her to FC Barcelona’s end-of-season dinner in May.

García is an influencer based in Seville who regularly shares selfies, outfit photos and fashion and beauty tips with her combined following of more than of 5 million on Instagram and TikTok.
Throughout the World Cup, however, her content has been focused largely on soccer, with the influencer sharing photos of herself supporting her beau at games, posts celebrating his wins and other content from her travels in the United States.
