Kurt Busch's return to the NASCAR spotlight will be on somber terms after his first formal interview set to take place since Kyle Busch's death.
Kurt's recollections of his late brother Kyle Busch will be featured in the new upcoming three-part documentary series NASCAR Americana. The series premieres on USA Network on Aug. 9 and is produced by Peyton Manning's Omaha Productions alongside Full Speed Entertainment.
NASCAR Americana will examine the rise of the motorsports brand from a regional pastime into America's top stock car brand. Part 2 of the docuseries is entitled "Family Bonds" and will see Kurt speak for the first time in interview form since Kyle's passing.

Kurt's episode airs August 15 and he will speak at length for the first time since Kyle died in May after severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, just days before he was scheduled to race in the Coca-Cola 600.
NASCAR has given several tributes to the late Cup Series star including the Faith Fest 250 Truck race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, where Kyle was schedule to compete.
Part 1 of NASCAR Americana premieres on Aug. 9 and is called "Rebel Roots," while Part 3 follows on Aug. 23 and will air after the result of the Dollar Tree 301.
The series arrives with Omaha's documentary credibility already established through projects on Netflix including Quarterback, Receiver, Starting 5 and WWE: Unreal.
Kurt previously addressed Kyle's passing through an emotional Instagram tribute. His messages come as Kyle's wife Samantha continues to post emotional updates of her and her children's grieving process. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, everyone, for the well wishes, support, and love for my brother and our family," he wrote.
"Finding a silver lining, I reflect back on the days Kyle and I raced anything we could get our hands on from big wheels to competing on the biggest stages in motorsports, we were more than just fierce competitors," he continued. "We pushed each other, challenged each other, and learned from each other."
The Busch brothers were NASCAR's winningest sibling pair and their competitive relationship includes the infamous on-track All-Star incident at Charlotte Motor Speedway that cost both a shot at $1 million, handed an easy victory to Kevin Harvick, and reportedly left them not speaking for months.
Kurt's final words in his tribute detailed a broken yet hopeful heart to feel Kyle's spirit. NASCAR Americana will also feature moments from the sport's biggest stars in history including Jeff Jordon, Richard Petty, and more.
