Kelly Osbourne wrote a heartfelt tribute to her late father, singer Ozzy Osbourne, one year after his death, stating 'the world changed forever' when he passed

Kelly Osbourne is honoring her father, Ozzy Osbourne, a year after his death.

“One year ago today, the world changed forever,” she wrote in an Instagram post as a tribute to her late father on Tuesday, July 21. “Today I sit beside you in a way I never thought would be possible.

"I know you are still with me. I feel you in the quiet, in the wind, in every song that stops me in my tracks, is [sic] the smell of your cologne, and in every moment that the love outweighs the grief. You are all around me." Ozzy's shocking cause of death was confirmed after a BBC documentary was released about his life. Ozzy tragically died on July 22, 2025, following a battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Kelly continued, “The hardest part isn’t that you’re gone. The hardest part is that I can’t touch you. I can’t hold your hand. I can’t wrap my arms around you or feel the safety that only you could give me."

The Instagram post added, "I always thought life was hard, but life without you has been the hardest thing I have ever had to endure.” The 41-year-old continued, “You are my everything. My protector. My greatest teacher. My best friend. The apple of my eye. My reason.”

She added, "I have never loved anyone or anything as deeply, as uniquely as I love you. And now I carry all of that love with nowhere to place it except within me, my son, and mumma. It aches every single day, but it is also the greatest privilege of my life. To have loved someone so completely."

Kelly has also talked about how she and her family have attempted to buy back her family's iconic Beverly Hills mansion they resided in during the peak of their reality TV fame on The Osbournes.

Speaking in Omaze’s Homes That Made Me series, Kelly called the house “one of the best places we ever lived." She explained, “And I have such fond memories of it, because that house changed my life and we had a lot of fun."

She then revealed, “We’ve asked about ten times if we can buy it back and they keep saying no, even though they’re never even there, the people who currently own it. But it was a great house.”

She also said that the house holds “a lot of sadness” because the family lived there when her mom, Sharon Osbourne, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2002.

Sharon, 73, shared her journey battling the disease in the second season of their reality show. The family eventually sold the property to Christina Aguilera in 2007, before she again placed it on the market in 2011.
