Kai Trump showed her red carpet preparations where a bizarre detail made her the target of jokes.
She joked with her makeup artist that she had aged at just 19 and now needed to use an LED face device.
She claims her face has completely changed since her grandfather’s inauguration and says she is flattered that she looks like her mother.
19-year-old Kai Trump shared a YouTube video showing how she prepared for the ESPY Awards.
Although she is still very young, she joked about her appearance and the changes she has gone through in recent years. The video was published on Saturday, July 18, and shows preparations for the event held on July 15 in New York, where Kai made her first red carpet appearance and became the subject of jokes because of a unusual detail.
Red carpet preparations
In the video titled "I Went to the ESPYs!", her Florida-based makeup artist Brianna prepared her for the event. During the treatment, she also used an LED facial device, which Kai was particularly impressed by. After the video was published, some followers also noticed similarities between her and her grandfather, Donald Trump.
Brianna explained how the device works.
"So this actually pushes in anything that you put on your face. Like all your skincare, it elaborates it with some red light," she explained.
"I’ve aged a lot, so we’re gonna need it"
During the conversation, Kai said she was thinking about buying an LED device, while Brianna added that it "really lifts the eye area nicely."
She also added:
"We have to use everything we have available."
Kai responded with a joke about herself.
"I have aged so much, so we will need it," she said.
"Oh my God! She said she aged," Brianna laughed.
Kai replied that she would show her old photos as proof.
"No, Steph and I were just looking at old photos. Actually, I’ll show you. I’ll show all of you," she said while searching through photos on her phone.
While looking through the pictures, the makeup artist noticed:
"I think you have definitely changed, but for the better."
Kai explained that she noticed the biggest changes in herself after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January 2025.
"My face has changed a lot honestly, in the past like three months it’s changed a lot," she said.
