Jessie J has confirmed she is no longer in a relationship with Chanan Colman. She revealed the couple ended things “some time ago” but are focused on raising their two‑year‑old son Sky in a healthy, united way.
Announcing the Split
The 38‑year‑old singer had been dating the Danish basketball player since 2021. While fans had speculated about their status, Jessie chose to address the truth directly on Instagram before rumors could take over.
She wrote, “Chanan and I decided to end our romantic relationship some time ago. It has been a sad and difficult situation, but we have been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and happy co parenting environment for our son, and ourselves.”
Jessie said going public was the only way to avoid false narratives.
She shared, “Unfortunately being in the public eye this is the easiest way to let people know the truth, before rumors circulate or a false narrative is written.”
Co-Parenting
Despite the breakup, Jessie stressed that she and Colman remain united as parents and friends.
She penned, “We will always continue supporting each other with love, respect and care as friends and most importantly being Sky’s Mum and Dad.”
Jessie added that fans may still see them together, “If you see us out and about together as a family, or posting each other on socials every now and again. That’s exactly what we are doing. Raising and loving Sky together, supported with a positive friendship.”

The news comes during a period of major personal change for Jessie. She revealed in June 2025 that she had been diagnosed with early‑stage breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy. In May this year, she shared the emotional moment she learned she was cancer‑free.
She wrote, “RESULTS ARE IN AND I AM CANCER FREE!! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year.”
Jessie has been open about the fear and vulnerability of her yearly check‑ups. She even joked about the awkwardness of breast MRI positions. But her relief at receiving the all‑clear was unmistakable.
