Plus, the most delicious shade of caramel brown.
The Gist
- Jessica Alba just debuted a new hair look—and it’s her shortest look in around four years.
- Her new ‘do featured a soft long lob and a caramel brown hue.
- She last wore her hair this short in 2022.
Jessica Alba took the plunge and committed to a pretty serious chop. Her mid-summer hair transformation saw her saying goodbye to quite a few inches as she ditched her XXL boho waves in favor of a new super soft, chic lob.
The actress debuted her new look in an Instagram reel that showed her sitting in a salon chair as her hairstylist, Brittney Conkle, got to work on her long tresses. Then, Alba revealed the finished look, showing off a smooth lob that went just past her shoulders and curled under at the ends. Soft dark blonde highlights framed her face.
Conkle confirmed that she gave the actress “fresh color and [a] chop” in her own post.
Alba’s signature look has been long waves. As she explained to Glamour UK in 2022, she always had long hair growing up. “I grew up in a Mexican American family and they really feel like girls’ hair should be long,” she said with a laugh. She went on to say that she started experimenting with shorter looks when she started acting—and apparently, she actually got the iconic Rachel cut from Chris McMillan before Jennifer Aniston!
This marks Alba’s shortest chop in around four years—back in 2022, she debuted a blonde bob on TikTok. Before that, in 2019, the actress debuted another dramatic shoulder-length chop when she stepped out for the Baby2Baby gala.
Alba has already taken her new lob for a few spins. On July 18, the actress was spotted on a stylish date night with boyfriend Danny Ramirez. She wore a slinky LBD for the outing that featured a daring sheer skirt.
The following day, the pair enjoyed the World Cup final in New Jersey. Alba once again wore all-black for the outing, pairing a tank top with a wrap skirt and slim black shades. Meanwhile, Ramirez wore a World Cup T-shirt.
“Epic day at the @FIFAWorldCup Final! ⚽️🏆” Alba wrote of their day out. “What a game!! What an incredible month filled with celebration, unity, and so many unforgettable matches. Congratulations to every team and to #FIFA for a truly riveting tournament from start to finish. See you in #2030 🫶🏽”
