Since I am always testing skin care and makeup products, I am not loyal to many. However, there is one I have refused to part with for three years—a U Beauty serum. This is to say, I have been the brand’s most ardent fan since its inception, so I am not surprised it’s racking up a celebrity fan base that most recently includes Jennifer Aniston.
In a June interview with E! News, the actress said, “...there’s a super tint that I love. It’s such a delicious tinted moisturizer,” of U Beauty’s The Super Tinted Hydrator. This puts her in good company; the other aforementioned A-list fans include Bella Hadid and Michelle Monaghan. Aniston’s pick is a potent anti-aging serum-moisturizer that (essentially) just so happens to have skin-perfecting pigment.

It is expensive, but once I get through explaining the CVS receipt-length list of benefits, it’ll make sense. It’s formulated with five different types and sizes of hyaluronic acid, allowing it to penetrate the superficial layers of the skin. This maximizes the efficiency and potency of the ingredient’s plumping, hydrating, wrinkle-filling, fine-line smoothing benefits. The supporting ingredients—argan oil, avocado oil, shea butter, etc.—have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.
Whew, now onto the makeup properties. U Beauty’s The Super Tinted Hydrator comes in 11 shades, has barely-there to light coverage, purportedly subtly adjusts to your skin tone, and has a your-skin-but-more-radiant finish.
The five-star ratings are plentiful. A shopper on the brand’s website called it their “favorite for dry mature skin. It makes my skin super smooth and hydrated.” Another shopper praised its ability to “even out skin tone, nourish, hydrate, and blur pores into oblivion.” They continued to gush that it creates “a flawless finish of enhanced natural beauty.”
