The singer insists there was no cheating, while his devastated former wife revealed she spent days receiving IV treatment.
The marriage ended after a heated argument in which she angrily told him to file the divorce papers.
Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll are officially divorced. The country singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for divorce from podcaster Bunnie XO, born Alisa DeFord, on May 18, just nine days after their separation. After nearly ten years of marriage, the divorce was officially finalized earlier this month.
They agreed on the division of assets
According to court documents, the former couple reached an agreement regarding the division of their shared assets, which include a plane, cars, real estate and intellectual property rights. The exact terms of the settlement were not disclosed, TMZ reported.
Jelly Roll will pay Bunnie a one-time financial settlement, resolving any future claims related to spousal support. The amount remains unknown, and representatives for both sides have not commented on the divorce.
Jelly Roll: "Nobody cheated on anyone"
The singer addressed the divorce publicly for the first time on June 18 during a concert on his tour, denying rumors that had spread online.
"Since we are talking about liars, the internet is a liar too. This is the first and last time I will talk about this, so go ahead and take out your phones," he told the audience.
He emphasized that he still loves Bunnie and that their marriage did not end because of infidelity.
"My wife and I are best friends and we always will be. I will continue to love her. She will probably be the only woman I will ever love in that way. Nobody cheated on anybody," he said.
Bunnie: "I couldn't even stand"
Bunnie spoke about the divorce several times on her podcast "Dumb Blonde". In an episode released on July 10, she admitted that the breakup completely devastated her.
"I wasn't eating. I wasn't drinking," she said, adding that her friends had to give her IV fluids because she became so exhausted that she was malnourished.
"I couldn't even stand because I was so broken. I was lying on the floor, screaming and crying because I couldn't understand what the hell was happening," she said.
They met in Las Vegas
The couple met in August 2015 at a Jelly Roll performance in Las Vegas, when he was still living in a van and she was in another relationship. They fell in love a year later, and just one month after they started dating, the singer proposed to her on stage.
They got married that same night in a Las Vegas chapel, where they renewed their vows in 2023.
In August 2016, Jelly Roll welcomed his son Noah with a former partner, and that same year he and Bunnie took primary custody of his daughter Bailee due to her mother's struggles with addiction.
They had saved their marriage before
Their marriage was seriously shaken in 2018 when Jelly Roll admitted he had been unfaithful. They briefly separated because of it, but later reconciled.
The singer later described the affair as "one of the worst moments of his adult life" and said he did everything possible to regain Bunnie's trust.
In the following years, both achieved major professional success. Bunnie launched the highly popular podcast "Dumb Blonde" in 2019, while Jelly Roll gained worldwide fame in 2022 thanks to his hit song "Son of a Sinner".
The divorce was not a mutual decision
The official date of separation was listed as May 9, 2026. Bunnie said the situation was preceded by a heated argument during which she angrily told him: "Then file those damn divorce papers."
After that, Jelly Roll moved out of their home, and they did not speak for weeks. He filed for divorce on May 18, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason.
Bunnie later admitted that the divorce was not a mutual decision.
"Even though I told him to file the papers, I said it out of anger and frustration. But did we need this wake-up call to start having real conversations? Absolutely," she said.
She also added that her former husband has already started dating other people.
