The Gundam franchise is officially making a return this October, and fans of the decades-old series may want to pay attention so as not to miss it. The release of Gundam Assemble is set for October 24, and the Deluxe Set is the ultimate starter version for the tabletop game. This is a battle game that features miniature Gunpla to build and battle. The product featured on Asmodee’s website contains thirteen unpainted miniatures, which allows for extreme customization with paint schemes that please you. Moreover, these units come with exclusive stats and abilities that make them unique.
With it, you can engage in story-driven battles of your own making, or perhaps even recreate some of the most iconic conflicts from the several anime series that compose the IP. The product’s description even highlights that you can create cross-universe situations. The 5-vs-5 scenarios will require a lot of strategy as you battle opponents across an epic hexagonal grid.
One of the most incredible features in Gundam Assemble is that the miniatures that are part of it can also be used as tokens in the Gundam TCG. The tabletop game feels a bit like the Gundam version of Warhammer 40k, especially due to how important the miniature culture will be for it. Alongside the Deluxe Set, Asmodee is also preparing to release expansion packs, each with new mechs to obtain and customize.
Those who saw the announcement of Assemble back in 2025 have long been waiting for its release. There are still a few months ahead of us, but it is, indeed, closer than ever, and we’ll happily see the arrival of this Gundam tabletop game and its incredible minis by the end of the year.
