PlayStation Crossplay Matchmaking, Explained
PS4 and PS5 players can matchmake with each other, but there's no crossplay with PS3, Xbox, or PC. This means that you can play the PS4 version of Black Ops and Black Ops 2 and still matchmake with players on the PS5 version, and vice versa. Remember, there's no difference between the two versions, as they are both 60fps and 1080p, so feel free to download either version on your PS5, but we'd recommend the PS4 version if you're having performance issues (as seen here).
Does DLC & the Season Pass Affect Matchmaking?
Season Pass and non-Season Pass owners can matchmake together in Black Ops and Black Ops 2.
