That gave them another steady veteran presence. But the bigger story was improving the pieces around the rotation.
Atlanta added Luguentz Dort, Aaron Wiggins, Devin Carter and Ryan Nembhard, giving Snyder more options when the games get tight. Those moves might not grab the same headlines as adding a superstar, but good teams are often built on having reliable players who can fill different roles.
That’s where Snyder’s coaching really shines. A deeper roster allows him to mix and match, find the right combinations and avoid relying too heavily on the same few players every night.

The Hawks still have plenty to prove in the Eastern Conference. They’re not walking into the season as an automatic contender, and there are questions that need answers. But this roster feels more complete than it did a year ago.
