Jarvis Hayes Jr., a four-star shooting guard in the 2027 class, has narrowed down his list of schools to four, he told Rivals. Moving forward, the 6-foot-5 rising senior out of Woodward Academy (GA) will consider Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Vanderbilt.
“Every one of the schools that recruited me are awesome and I’m blessed,” Hayes says. “Each school has all shown me they are prioritizing me and making me feel like home. I like the coaches and staff members. Just communicating with each school has felt like it was easy and not forced. It was natural.”
Hayes is ranked as the No. 23 overall recruit in the 2027 class and the No. 4 ranked shooting guard, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, an average of all three major recruiting media companies (Rivals, ESPN, 247Sports).
Of his finalists, he’s completed unofficial visits to Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt. He hasn’t yet scheduled any official visits.
Prior to trimming his list down, Hayes also received offers from Wake Forest, Oregon, Miami, Clemson, Ole Miss, Auburn, and more.
He is the son of Georgia men’s basketball assistant coach Jarvis Hayes, who was named SEC Player of the Year for the Bulldogs in 2003 before being selected 10th overall in the 2003 NBA Draft.
Playing for Atlanta Xpress on the Under Armour Circuit, Hayes averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists per game.
