From the age of 16, actor Alison Sweeney has lived her life under the Hollywood microscope. Alison Sweeney reflects on her beauty and health journey
Over the span of her 30-plus year career in Hollywood, Alison Sweeney has added the roles of director, producer, author, and mother of two to her resume. As one of the leading ladies of Hallmark who live incredibly lavish lives, Sweeney has starred in more than 30 Hallmark Channel films, most often appearing in the "Murder, She Baked" movie mysteries.
Sweeney's beauty evolution is evident throughout her Hallmark career. So how exactly has she maintained her flawless skin for the past 50 years? The secret may be simpler than you'd think — it's all about sun protection! "My mother always taught me to use sunscreen every day," Sweeney told Allure in 2014. Despite her dedication to applying SPF, Sweeney was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in 2019. Thankfully, her dermatologist caught it early, and she underwent Mohs surgery to remove it.
As for her health, Sweeney says her approach to weight loss has changed through the years, and she now focuses on feeling good and fitting in her clothes instead of the number on the scale. "Skinny is really not the right goal," she told Fox News Digital in 2019. "Healthy living is the right goal. It is something to look forward to, something to strive towards.
