The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is the company’s upcoming foldable smartphone. It will be a new flagship foldable phone for the company and one of the most powerful phones that Google has to offer, period. This is also the only foldable that Google is expected to announce in 2026, so unless there’s a huge secret out there that Google managed to bury, this is it.
That phone is coming alongside three other Pixel 11 devices, two flagship-grade phones, and a vanilla Pixel 11 model. In this article, we’re focusing on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, however. We’ll go over its design, specs, launch date, price, and more.
This article will be regularly updated with new information on the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold (this is a preview article) — both official teasers and credible leaks, rumors, and insider claims — as it becomes available in the run-up to the release of the upcoming Android smartphone.
When will the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold be released?
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will launch alongside three other Pixel 11 series smartphones. The launch date is no longer a secret, as it was officially confirmed by Google. It will happen on August 12, as a launch event is scheduled in New York. Do note that pre-orders will kick off on August 12 as well.
What models are coming?
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is coming alongside three of its siblings: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL. Much like its ‘Pro’ siblings, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is expected to arrive in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage variants. The phone is also rumored to include 16GB of RAM across variants, though there’s a possibility the base model will ship with 12GB of RAM. It remains to be seen.
How much will the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold cost?
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is coming in three storage options just like its ‘Pro’ siblings. The 256GB model is rumored to cost €1,999, while the 512GB storage variant is said to cost €2,129. The variant with the most storage, the 1TB model, will be priced at €2,389. Do note that we don’t have prices in $ just yet, and these are just rumored, of course.
What will the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold look like?
We know what the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will look like at this point. Back in May, we exclusively revealed the phone’s design thanks to CAD-based renders. It will be very similar to the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, actually, aside from a difference in the camera island on the back. It will also be thinner than its predecessor.
The main display will be flat, and it will include uniform bezels, with a display camera hole placed in the top-right corner. The cover display will also be flat, and it will have a centered display camera hole up top. Its bezels will be quite thin. The frame of the phone will be made out of aluminum, while the physical buttons sit on the right side. The power/lock button is placed above the volume up and down buttons. Those buttons are covered by aluminum as well.
If we flip the phone around, you’ll notice that the Pixel 11 Pro Fold has a much nicer-looking camera island. There are still two horizontal units, pill-shaped ones, which host three cameras overall. An LED flash sits in the top module. The entire camera island does protrude on the back, and each of the pill-shaped camera cutouts protrudes a bit in its own right as well. This phone, unlike all the other Pixel 11 phones, will wobble on a tabletop. When unfolded, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is said to roughly measure 155.2 x 150.4 x 4.8mm. When folded, it will roughly measure 155.2 x 76.3 x 10.1mm.

What specs will the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold have?
Not much information surfaced regarding the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold specs. We did see a lot more information about the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL. However, we can make some educated guesses mixed with the info that surfaced. One thing is for sure: the phone will be fueled by the same chip as its siblings, the Google Tensor G6. That is expected to be a 2nm chip made by TSMC.
Considering the similarities in dimensions, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will probably retain the same display sizes as its predecessor. If that ends up being the case, the phone will include an 8-inch main foldable LTPO OLED display. That panel will offer a 120Hz refresh rate. The cover display will probably measure 6.4 inches, and it’ll be an OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. We’re not sure if there will be any changes in terms of resolution and brightness, though.
The phone is expected to be IP68 certified just like its predecessor. This is the best IP rating we’ve seen on a foldable. Its battery is still a mystery, and the same goes for its cameras. The phone will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner, along with wired and wireless charging. Magnets are expected to be built into the phone, and we do hope that Qi2.2 charging will be supported this time around. The phone will also drop a Samsung Exynos modem for one from MediaTek.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will measure 155.2 x 150.4 x 4.8mm when unfolded. When folded, its thickness will go up to 10.1mm, based on CAD-based renders.
Should you wait to buy the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold?
Based on the information we have thus far, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold will include a brand-new chip. That alone may be enough for some people to upgrade, but not for many. Other than that and the possibility of getting Pixel Glow, this phone is not expected to offer major spec upgrades. It will have a new rear camera design and will be slightly thinner than its predecessor. If you already own the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, there’s a good chance you’ll want to skip this one.
