・The Columbus Blue Jackets and goaltender Jet Greaves exchanged figures on Tuesday before heading to arbitration. And… they aren’t close. Greaves requested $7.5M, while the Blue Jackets filed at just $2.8M.
・Finally, four teams are taking over control of their local broadcast situation — with help from the NHL. The Carolina Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild and Columbus Blue Jackets will have their local broadcasts produced and distributed by the NHL for the coming season.
・According to the Minnesota Wild’s release, “Minnesota Wild broadcasts will be fully managed in-house in collaboration with NHL Productions” and “Fans will be able to watch Minnesota Wild games through a variety of options this season including cable, satellite, streaming services and over-the-air.” Sounds like a makeshift CHSN attempt for just those four NHL clubs.
