There could be some movement in the Bundesliga.

According to a report from FussballEuropa.com, Borussia Mönchengladbach could be ready to part ways with USMNT players Gio Reyna and Joe Scally:

Borussia Mönchengladbach wants to streamline its squad before the new season. Four professionals are apparently on sporting director Rouven Schröder’s transfer list. As reported by Sport Bild, Florian Neuhaus (29, contract until 2027), Tomas Cvancara (25, contract until 2028) , Giovanni Reyna (23, contract until 2028) and Joe Scally (23, contract until 2027) are available for sale at Niederrhein.

The reason is the high salaries of these four players and a squad that has become too large with 29 professionals. According to the report, Neuhaus is said to earn around four million euros per year, making him one of the Foals’ highest earners.

Cvancara, Reyna, and Scally reportedly earn between 1.5 and 2 million euros annually . Manager Rouven Schröder (pictured) wants to reduce this salary burden to create financial leeway for restructuring the squad.

The possibility of both Reyna and Scally leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach this summer would represent a significant change for two American players who have spent several years in the Bundesliga.

Reyna has struggled to find consistency and regular playing time, making a move potentially appealing for both player and club. A fresh start could help him rediscover the form and confidence that once made him one of the most exciting young talents in Europe.

Scally, meanwhile, has established himself as a reliable Bundesliga defender, but could also be ready for a new challenge. Losing both Americans would certainly leave Gladbach with some rebuilding to do.
