I never thought I’d wear gaucho pants again. The last time I owned a pair was in the early 2000s, and I styled them with platform wedges. Now, they’re back —  but with a twist. Today’s gauchos feel more polished, but still have those reliably breezy wide legs and cropped hems that make them a great alternative to jeans. 

According to fashion stylist Kim Appelt, the re-emerging gauchos trend is “a vibe” for this season, as fashion leans back into “ease, movement, and personality.” After seeing the newer styles of loose pants at Amazon for as little as $15, I want in — so long as I’m not at risk of recreating those early aughts looks.
