Pembroke Pines is bringing back groovy with the sophomore return of a fan favorite.
Boogie on Wheels will take over the Charles F. Dodge City Center on Friday, July 24, for its second run, bringing indoor rollerskating, retro fun and throwback turntable tracks.
Wondering what you’ll find at this blast-from-the-past party? Here’s what’s going down:
From 5 to 7 p.m., parents and kids can enjoy “family skating” for those learning their way around the rink.
That’s followed by “Friday freestyle” — a window for adults 21 and over to zip around and show off their favorite skills and tricks — from 8 to 10:30 p.m.
Soundtracking your moves is DJ Sama, who’ll be spinning freestyle hits from the 1990s, including from Whitney Houston, NSYNC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Spice Girls and more.
Off the rink, vintage arcade games, giveaways and contests will keep the good times rolling, and free popcorn, a costume contest and a Glow Lounge — present at last year’s inaugural Boogie on Wheels — could make a surprise return.
Family skating tickets are $21.30 each or $42.80 for a bundle of four via Ticketmaster. Late-night adults 21 and over tickets are $27.45. Skate rentals are included with admission.

- Security screening and bag checks are required upon entry
- Outside food and beverages, smoking and vaping, strollers, recording devices, non-service animal pets, weapons and helium balloons are prohibited
